Black Box is looking for an experienced Client Support Specialist to manage and support Network Management Systems (NMS) and ensure smooth network fault monitoring and event management operations. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in network monitoring, incident management, and infrastructure support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in NMS event management and network fault monitoring.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as an L2 support engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and network security.
  • Experience in NMS discovery, topology mapping, and threshold/severity configuration.
  • Familiarity with integrating NMS tools with ticketing systems and alerting platforms.
  • Good scripting and querying skills for automation and reporting.
  • Experience in generating SLA, KPI, uptime, bandwidth utilization, and fault trend reports.
  • Ability to configure monitoring policies, manage incidents, and support audit and data retention requirements.
  • Master’s degree preferred as per the job posting.

What You’ll Be Working On:

You will be responsible for administering and configuring the NMS platform, onboarding network devices, setting up monitoring policies, and tuning alert thresholds. The role also involves analyzing recurring incidents, reducing false positives, creating dashboards and reports, and collaborating with multiple teams to resolve network issues efficiently. In addition, you will support upgrades, performance enhancements, and provide technical guidance to L1 engineers.
